Naman walks you through

Spiti, the long way round

D1
Day 01

Delhi → Shimla (overnight drive)

  • Stay
  • Dinner

Board in Delhi with me. I do a proper gear check before we roll — half of you have packed wrong, and that's fine, we fix it at the first stop.

D2
Day 02

Shimla → Chitkul

  • Stay
  • Breakfast
  • Dinner

Up the Sutlej valley to the last inhabited village before the Tibet border. Cold, green, and very quiet. First night at altitude.

D3
Day 03

Chitkul → Kalpa → Nako

  • Stay
  • Breakfast
  • Dinner

Kinnaur Kailash from Kalpa at sunrise if the clouds allow, then the landscape turns from pine to bare rock in the space of two hours. Night at Nako.

D4
Day 04

Nako → Tabo → Kaza

  • Stay
  • Breakfast
  • Dinner

Tabo monastery — 1,000 years of continuous use — then Dhankar hanging above the confluence. Into Kaza by evening; this is your acclimatisation base.

D5
Day 05

Key, Kibber, Hikkim, Langza

  • Stay
  • Breakfast
  • Dinner

The postcard day. Key monastery stacked up its hillside, the fossil village at Langza, and a postcard posted from Hikkim at 4,400m — it genuinely arrives.

D6
Day 06

Kaza → Chandratal

  • Stay
  • Breakfast
  • Dinner

Chandratal night. I shoot the sky here every single trip and I still set up two hours early. Bring the warm layer you think you won't need.

D7
Day 07

Chandratal → Manali

  • Stay
  • Breakfast
  • Dinner

Down the Rohtang side through Batal and Gramphu — the roughest and most spectacular stretch of the whole loop. Warm shower and a real bed in Manali.

D8
Day 08

Manali → Delhi

  • Breakfast

Overnight drive back, arriving Delhi early morning. The group chat does not stop.

What's in, what's not.

No asterisks. If it isn't on the left, you're paying for it.

why it's different with them

What you actually get
because Naman's there.

  • 01I'm on the bus the whole way — not flying in for a photo op on day four
  • 02Free reel edit of your trip: send me your clips, you get a cut back within two weeks
  • 03One night I take over the aux and nobody can stop me. This is a perk, not a warning
  • 04Camera help whenever you want it — settings, angles, or just someone to hold the phone properly
I don't want fifteen people watching me make a video. I want fifteen people in the video.
@namanwaley

things people actually DM naman

Do I need to be good at photos?

No. Roughly half the people who come can't work their own camera app, and by day three they can. That's the whole point of me being there.

Is it weird if I'm not on Instagram?

Genuinely no. Maybe a third of any batch doesn't post at all. Nobody's counting.

Will I actually get to talk to you?

You'll get sick of me. It's a Tempo Traveller for eight days — there's nowhere to hide.

What if I've never done altitude?

Neither had I. There's an acclimatisation night built into the Spiti route, and the captain watches everyone on day three. Drink more water than feels reasonable.

Naman Soni

still deciding?

Ask Naman anything.

Not a call centre — Naman runs these batches personally and answers the messages. Fitness, food, what the rooms are actually like, whether it suits a first-timer. Ask before you book, not after.

16 seats. Then it's gone.
